Photovoltaic Installation of 120 kWp in the Cultural Building of Salt (Girona)
A self-consumption photovoltaic installation has been installed in the public cultural building in the town of Salt, in the province of Girona, with the aim of improving the building’s energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energies in public infrastructures.
The installation has a total peak power of 120 kWp, consisting of 221 photovoltaic modules of 545 W from Risen, high efficiency panels designed to offer high energy efficiency and reliability in solar generation installations.
The modules have been installed on the roof of the building using a coplanar aluminum structure, a system that allows the panels to be fixed parallel to the roof surface, optimizing the aesthetic integration with the building and ensuring proper ventilation and durability of the installation.
For the conversion of the energy generated, a 100 kW inverter from Huawei has been installed. This high-performance equipment is widely used in medium and high-power photovoltaic installations, offering high levels of efficiency, advanced monitoring and reliable operation.
The installation was carried out quickly and easily because the electrical connection could be made directly to the building’s existing busbar, which allowed the photovoltaic generation to be integrated into the building’s electrical installation without the need for complex modifications to the electrical infrastructure.
With this 120 kWp installation, the Salt cultural building will be able to generate a significant part of its electricity consumption through clean and renewable solar energy, reducing energy consumption from the grid and contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions, reinforcing the public administration’s commitment to sustainability and energy transition.
