Custom Engineering: Photovoltaic Installation of 120kW for SOLTER in Pedreguer

In our latest project, we commissioned a powerful 120 kW solar power system. Although we encountered some architectural challenges during the process, our team designed fully customized solutions to ensure maximum system performance and safety.

Here’s how we did it.

Technical Details of the Project

• Total installed power: 120 kW.

• Solar panels: Very high performance 710W modules from TCL.

• Inverter: 100 kW SOLPLANET inverter. As usual in our recent installations, we rely on this brand for its reliability and because it can support up to double its rated power in solar panels.

The Challenges and Our Solutions

Each project is unique and, on this occasion, we had to apply all our technical expertise to two key points of the installation:

1. Optimization on roofs with different orientations The roof had two distinct areas. The first one had an excellent orientation, so we were able to install the solar panels quickly using a coplanar structure.

However, the second roof did not have a favorable orientation. In order not to lose efficiency, we manufactured custom brackets that allowed us to adapt both the orientation and the inclination of the modules. In this way, we ensured the highest possible energy production.

Structural reinforcement in the machine room The second obstacle awaited us inside. The walls of the machine room were made of plasterboard, a material without the structural strength to support the heavy weight of a 100 kW inverter.

The solution? We design and manufacture a special custom-made metal bracket for the inverter. This ensures a sturdy, secure and durable mounting without compromising the customer’s walls.

An Efficient Result

The extra effort was totally worth it. The customer has been very happy with the work done, and we are even more satisfied after seeing firsthand the impeccable finish and the excellent efficiency of the installation. We continue to add clean energy.
